Booklet A available in all banks

The stakes were high, as at 1 January 2008 there were more than 50 million Livret A savings accounts (24 million at the Caisse d’Epargne, 21.1 million at La Banque Postale and 5.6 million Livrets Bleu at Crédit Mutuel) for a total amount of € 140 billion (4% of total French savings!).

To distribute the Livret A, each bank had to enter into an agreement with the State. It is a mere formality. We thus find the Livret A in the banks which already distributed the Sustainable Development Booklet (the former Codevi) or the LEP, namely: Crédit Agricole, Société Générale, BNP-Paribas, Banque Populaire, CIC … en Plus historical distributors such as La Banque Postale, Caisse d’Epargne and Crédit Mutuel. But also in other institutions, for this product that is considered strategic, such as online banks ING Direct, Boursorama or Monabanq.
